Not Sure About Visiting?

We would be happy to answer some questions you may have.

What If?

What if . . .

What if tomorrow’s gathering of God’s people could be MORE THAN JUST THE NORMAL . . . more than routine, more than just another Sunday.

What if God’s people came with hungry, repentant hearts . . . what if faith was stirring, and hope was thriving . . .

What if there was a sense of expectancy in the air? A sense that “God is here and He desires to meet us. He longs to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. He longs to bring wholeness not only to our spirits but to our minds and spirits as well.”

I write this morning, asking you to pray with me for tomorrow’s services – both AM and PM.

In the morning I will address the question, ‘Is There Hope For Healing?” I am well aware that the gifts of healing are largely non functioning today in the Lord’s church, at least not in America. I am also aware that there is great need among God’s people as well as the people of our community. Needs for healing. Needs for the miraculous.

What if . . . what if God wanted to demonstrated His holiness and His power right in our midst? Right in our service . . . right in our hearts and families.

Please pray with me. Fast a meal today if you are able. Get alone with God, seek His face.

Tomorrow evening, as you have heard me announce, there will be prayer for the sick. Both those who will come and those who will be “stood in for” by someone.

I am asking you to be in tomorrow night’s service -- come with expectancy, come with faith believing. I plan to be in the sanctuary at 5:00pm for an hour of prayer before the service . . . you are welcome to join me.

I am convicted by the words of Andrew Murray,

“The Church of Christ needs to hear clearly announced that it is on
account of her worldliness and unbelief that she has lost these
spiritual gifts of healing (I Cor. 12: 9) and that the Lord
restores to those who, with faith and obedience,
have consecrated their lives to Him.
This grace cannot reappear without being preceded
by a renewal of faith and of holiness.”

In the morning I will be asking the spiritual leaders of our congregation to set aside time tomorrow afternoon to seek God’s face and THEN COME TO THE SERVICE AT 6:00PM with a readiness to pray for the sick, hurting, discouraged, trapped, stuck and more . . . all those who need a touch from God.

And I am certain we all do in some measure.

Scripture passages for each of us to read and meditate upon:
Ps 103:2-3; Ex 15:26; Jer 30:17a; Mt 9:5; Mal 4:2; Acts 3:6; James 5:14-15; Is 53:4-5; Mat 8:16-17

One final quote from Andrew Murray:

“After being stopped for more than two years in the exercise of my ministry, I was healed by the mercy of God in answer to the prayer of those who see in Him ‘the Lord that healeth thee’ (Ex. 15:26). This healing, granted to faith, has been the source of rich spiritual blessing to me. I have clearly seen that the Church possesses in Jesus, our Divine Healer, an inestimable treasure, which she does not yet know how to appreciate.”

May we grow to appreciate fully and deeply, the treasure we have in Jesus, our Divine Healer.

Gratefully and Expectantly,
